These Terms & Conditions govern the rental of vehicles from Silver Arrow Car Rental ("we", "us", "our") in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE. By booking or renting a vehicle, you ("the renter") agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility & Driver Requirements

• The renter must be at least 21 years of age (25 for premium and luxury vehicles).
• A valid UAE driving licence, or a valid international driving licence together with a valid passport and visa, is required.
• The named renter is the only authorised driver unless an additional driver has been registered with us in advance.

2. Booking & Rental Period

The rental period begins at the agreed delivery time and ends when the vehicle is returned or collected. A rental day is 24 hours. Late returns beyond the grace period may incur an additional day's charge.

3. Payment, Security Deposit & Charges

• Rental charges are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• A refundable security deposit is required at the start of the rental and is held against fines, damage, and other chargeable items.
• The deposit is refunded after the vehicle is returned and inspected, and after any applicable fines or charges are cleared. Deposit refund requests can be submitted via the Deposit Refund form linked in our footer.

4. Insurance & Liability

Vehicles are provided with basic insurance cover. The renter remains liable for the insurance excess/deductible in the event of an accident, and for any damage not covered by the policy. Enhanced cover options are available on request. Insurance is void if the vehicle is used in breach of these terms.

5. Use of the Vehicle

The renter agrees not to: use the vehicle outside the UAE without written permission; sub-let or use it for hire or reward; drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs; use it for racing, off-roading, or any illegal purpose; or allow an unauthorised person to drive.

6. Fuel, Mileage, Salik & Tolls

The vehicle is supplied with a set fuel level and should be returned at the same level, or refuelling charges apply. Mileage limits, where applicable, are stated on the rental agreement; excess mileage is charged per kilometre. Salik (toll) charges and any parking fees incurred during the rental are the renter's responsibility.

7. Traffic Fines & Violations

All traffic fines, penalties, and violations recorded during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter and may be deducted from the security deposit, together with an administration fee.

8. Delivery & Collection

We offer free delivery and collection across Abu Dhabi. The vehicle is inspected and documented at both delivery and collection. The renter should report any pre-existing damage at the time of delivery.

9. Accidents & Breakdown

In the event of an accident, the renter must inform us immediately, obtain a police report, and not admit liability to any third party. A valid police report is required for any insurance claim.

10. Cancellation

Cancellation terms depend on the rental type and are confirmed at the time of booking. Please contact us as early as possible to amend or cancel a reservation.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Abu Dhabi courts.
